Performance at the Slade Research Centre, UCL

Caroline de Lannoy’s work ‘Colour Tale’ is performed by Slade students at the Slade Research Centre, UCL, Gower Street, London WC1E 6BT.
Colour and Poetry: A Symposium at the Slade School of Fine Art celebrating both International Colour Day and World Poetry Day, through an exhibition of image and text based works, readings, performance/screenings and workshops by UCL staff and students.The symposium brings together well-established areas of research and expertise within the school, colour and text, building upon the Material Research Project, Discourse Project, Small Press Project, Slade Archive Project, and in the larger UCL community creating a platform for an interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge and ideas between art, science and industry.

Caroline De Lannoy turns daily working life into a sound performance. For her all artistic activity is building. The artist sands a board surface / drills a board / cuts a wood with a circular saw / cuts a wood with a jig saw / uses a hacksaw / uses a steel cut off machine electric tool / uses a hammer …
